In order for Fortitude Dance Company Ltd. to provide our services we will collect personal information from you including your child’s details. The privacy notice below explains how we use any personal information we collect as well as your rights. If you choose not to provide us with the information requested, we may not be able to provide full services to you and your child.

We provide dance classes for children and adults in various venues across Finchley, East Finchley & Winchmore Hill.
Enrolling a student under the age of 18:
If you wish to enrol a student under the age of 18 with us, we will collect the following data:
Teachers:
If you wish to apply to become a teacher, we will collect your name, contact details and information contained in your CV. If you provide details of a reference, it is your responsibility to make sure that the person is aware that you have forwarded his/her details for these purposes. If you are employed by us, we will apply for a DBS certificate and keep details of your DBS certificate reference number and date of issue. We will update your DBS when it expires.

Personal information will be used by all teachers working for Fortitude Dance Company Ltd. for the following purposes:

We have implemented reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to secure your personal data from accidental loss and from unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, the Internet is an open system and we cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal data for improper purposes.
All teachers have signed a confidentially and safety agreement
How long will we keep your data?
Your personal data will be used for as long as the student is with us. If a child leaves the company, we will then keep this data filed for a further five years after which time it will be destroyed securely.
How are the student’s photographs and film footage used if permission is given?
Students will only be featured for the purposes below if permission has been given. If you would like to make changes at any time to your permission form please inform us. Students photography and film footage will be used in the following ways:

Online payments made to Fortitude Dance Company Ltd. are secure and safe. Fortitude Dance Company Ltd. does not directly collect, process or store financial information.

You have a right to request a copy of the personal information that is held about you or your child and to ask for any inaccuracies to be corrected.

- Any medical/allergy condition – a list of all students with medical/allergy conditions is given to every teacher.

Teachers:

Your Personal Data – How will we use your information?
Personal information will be used by all teachers working for Fortitude Dance Company Ltd. for the following purposes:
- To identify the age of a student to ensure they are put in the correct group
- To ensure we have any medical/allergy details for the well being and safety of the student
- To ensure we have a contact number and address for parents/carers in case of an emergency
- To provide information and updates to parents/carers through texts and emails
- To email invoices and receipts for fees
- To provide permissions for use of photography and filming for various purposes (see below)

- Photographs of the students are used for promotion of our classes – Flyers, adverts in local papers and magazines, adverts on local websites which promote small local businesses.
- DVD’S are created of our shows and are available to purchase.
- Photographs and film footage of students are taken during performances and used on our website, promotion material and adverts & social media pages.
- Film footage will be sent to students of our eldest groups – Apogee, Zenith, Allstars so they are able to use it to rehearse at home. The students understand and agree that these videos can only be used for rehearsal purposes and must not be shared outside of the group with other persons or on social media. We may set up other groups for parents of younger children so we can do the same. This will only be done once we have permission from all the parents.
- Photographs and film footage is shared between the teachers to enable us to get a range of photography and film footage from across the classes. When this is no longer needed it is deleted by the teachers.
